The Logistic Specialist for Genesis Magma Racing is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all material logistics related to the racing program. This includes the international transport of race cars, spare parts, tools, and garage infrastructure via road, sea, and air. The role ensures timely delivery, regulatory compliance, and cost-efficiency for all equipment movements.

Main Tasks

Global Freight & Transport Management

  • Organize and manage the international transport of race cars, parts, tools, and infrastructure (by road, air, sea) to and from test and race venues.
  • Ensure full compliance with international transport laws, customs regulations, ATA carnets, and all shipping documentation.
  • Track and maintain freight schedules to ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Monitor and optimize transport costs in alignment with allocated budgets.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate shipment documentation and records.

On-Site Logistics Support

  • Oversee the reception, unloading, and proper positioning of freight at each venue.
  • Coordinate the setup and material availability in close collaboration with the technical team.
  • Act as the key logistics contact during events for freight arrival timing, customs clearance issues, and material flow.

Fleet & Equipment Oversight

  • Manage the team’s fleet of trucks, trailers, and support vehicles.
  • Monitor maintenance schedules, technical inspections, and ensure legal compliance of all logistics vehicles.
  • Align vehicle usage and transport resources with workshop, testing, and race event needs.

Supplier Coordination & Budget Control

  • Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and customs brokers to organize transport services.
  • Monitor performance, cost-effectiveness, and service quality of logistics partners.
  • Contribute to logistics budgeting and ensure proper tracking of logistics-related expenses.

Operational Coordination

  • Work closely with the Operations Manager and Crew Chief to guarantee timely material availability.
  • Support planning and execution of logistics based on the sporting calendar, internal testing, event and sustainability requirements
  • Develop contingency plans in case of delays, customs issues, or transport disruptions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in international material or industrial logistics.
  • Strong knowledge of transport regulations, customs procedures, and documentation (e.g. ATA carnets, Incoterms).
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced and high-standards environment.
  • Highly organized, autonomous, and solution-driven.
  • Proficient with standard office tools and logistics tracking systems.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); other languages are a plus.
