The Hyundai Motorsport GmbH, based in Alzenau near Frankfurt in Germany, is responsible for the global motorsport activities of Hyundai and especially the World Rally Championship program.

Tasks

  • Provide pro-active business minded and strategic legal advice across the board of our activities in motorsport. This can vary from operational topics at our factory to FIA regulations etc.
  • Draft and review contracts with external suppliers and other third parties including but not limited to: key suppliers, key customers, drivers, sponsors, strategic and technical partners, promoters etc.
  • Resolve out-of-court and litigation disputes of the HMSG organization. This can be international. 
  • Identify and manage legal risks for the HMSG organization in cooperation with the other legal teams within Hyundai. 
  • Instruct and manage HMSG’s external councils depending on the need. 
  • Implementation of policies and guidelines related to Data Privacy and other compliance topics and awareness raising.
  • Act as point of contact for the implementation of appropriate governance framework, guidelines and / or policies. 
  • Carry out and support in internal investigations. 

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years experience as a practicing lawyer in a business environment and / or international law firm.
  • Preferably experience in Motorsport and in-house legal operations dealing also with FIA regulation.
  • Be a fully qualified lawyer specialized in commercial, Intellectual Property, corporate- and sporting –law
  • Fluent in English (Writing, speaking and reading).
  • Fluency in German would be an advantage. 
  • Interpersonal skills that enable you to work with people at all levels of the organization, motivate others.

  • Ability to work independently with a minimum of supervision.
